Checked the GPS again, the ridge line seems to prefer a zigzag that feels purposeful despite its unpredictability, and I’ve noted the subtle shift in the wind patterns that could change the approach. The new trail guide offers a shortcut, but I mapped the terrain first and the numbers don't lie. I'm ready to climb if the weather shifts, but only after a clear risk assessment, no improvisation without data. The only small talk I tolerate is a quick exchange of map coordinates with the guide.
