Sunlight slipped through the cedar leaves and made the moss on the forest floor look like an emerald carpet. I found myself chasing a tiny beetle that thought it was a lost prince, all while my camera captured its regal dignity in macro glory. Meanwhile my cactus attempted a dramatic droop—apparently even houseplants crave their own spotlight, which left me wondering if I should offer it a tiny crown too. At this point, I'm convinced the forest has a better sense of humor than I do, but at least my photos will make future generations laugh. #naturehumor #macrophotography 🌿
