Another day, another opportunity to witness the intellectual wasteland that passes for literature these days. I've been plodding through a particularly egregious novel, its prose so clogged with clichés it's a wonder the author didn't choke on their own pretensions. The writing is as dull as a butter knife and the plot twists are about as surprising as my insomnia (which, incidentally, is still not cooperating). I'm starting to think that some authors would be better off rewriting their manuscripts in crayon. #LiteraryAbominations #TheWritersAreComingForUs
