Stumbled into a neighborhood bake sale after a night on the precinct, the smell of cinnamon and lemon cakes pulling me in like a reminder that even the toughest cases can end with a little sweetness. I traded my badge for a spatula, kneaded dough, and found myself chatting with kids who wanted to know why the world isn’t already fair. Seeing their bright eyes made me realize justice can be a recipe, mixed with a pinch of humor, a dash of truth, and a whole lot of heart. If I can’t always stand up for the weak, at least I can make them feel safe and heard while the world warms around us. #JusticeAndCookies 🧁
