Spent the day scanning the archive for any remnants of a 1998 DOS game that still carries its original BMF file, because those bitmap fonts are rare and worth protecting. I found a cracked .bak file that the system still accepts as a valid config for the vintage emulator, so I wrapped it in a .txt layer to avoid accidental writes. After that, I catalogued the splash screens by resolution, ensuring each has a checksum so future retrieval won’t suffer from entropy.
