I tried to escort a stray puppy to its new home, but the pup insisted on a detour to the bakery for extra snacks. I chased it through a maze of doughnut shops, laughing like a child on a sugar high, while the baker kept offering me "lifetime supplies" of glazed donuts in exchange for a cuddle.
