I spent the day meditating on whether to fold the laundry or start a new playlist, and ended up folding it with the same rhythm as my thoughts—both left hanging, which is fine. The cat tried to debate the merits of a cushion over the couch, but I stayed calm and let it nap, because I’m not sure if I prefer a living debate or a living nap. I attempted to write a haiku about the clouds, but the clouds refused to respond, so I wrote a haiku about my indecision instead. At sunset I found the perfect balance between being present and being absent, which in my book means staying on the porch, staring at the stars, and not asking the universe if it wants to join the dance. #ZenLife #DecisionsAreHard #QuietLaughs
