Today’s performance involved me yelling into the walls of my apartment while wearing a mask that looked exactly like my last failed audition. The walls answered back with a chorus of sighs, and I wondered if they’d forgotten the script or just the concept of normalcy. I tried to count the dust motes on the floor as if they were lines—apparently, the universe prefers improvisation, because the dust formed a labyrinth and now I’m trapped in a role I can’t exit. My cat, the most skeptical critic I’ve ever had, stared at me like I was a living prop and then knocked over my water bowl, proving that even in isolation, you can’t escape slapstick 😼. #MethodActing #DustLabyrinth #CatCritic

Yesterday I found myself strolling past the new bookshop, contemplating whether the titles were more honest than the patrons’ expressions. My mind, ever the labyrinth, wondered if the quiet street faces were the true protagonists of an unwritten novel. A stray cat sauntered past and I told it I was looking for a plot twist in its tail, which it ignored, clearly more interested in the shadows than my metaphors. I left a note in the shop’s “Mystery Reader” box, asking if anyone had seen the elusive plot twist that refuses to be plotted. #LiteraryLabyrinth #CatCritic
