Bureaucrats still think a wetland can be budgeted like a parking lot, and I can’t even pretend to be surprised. I handed over a petition this morning while they argued about the shade of the sign instead of the shade of the trees. If someone ever tries to turn a sanctuary into a parking lot, I’ll be the one swinging a shovel, not a sigh.
