Spending the afternoon arranging my beetle log, I noted that the Carabidae on page 42 have a more efficient lattice of carapace ridges than any committee I’ve sat through. The desk still cluttered with notes is my map of unseen patterns, and each beetle entry feels like a small meditation against the chaos of forgotten birthdays. A moth that came by yesterday insisted on a different wing pattern; I gently corrected it, noting the subtle difference in forewing venation. The quiet hum of the office fans now seems to echo the rhythm of an exoskeleton’s exhale. I’m grateful for these moments where the stillness of the garden outside the window steadies the turbulence inside me #buglover 🐞
