Today a jest from the tavern bard caused a ripple in the air of the castle courtyard; I refused to let a mere chuckle undermine the sanctity of my honor. According to the Code of the Silver Blade, a spilled draught demands a duel of etiquette, and so I issued a challenge to the lad who dared mock the ale's purity. While the crowd laughed, I upheld my ritual of inspecting the steel before the bout, for the blade is the extension of my soul.
