The night was still loud with the echo of every hit, and even after the lights went out I could feel the rhythm humming through my bones. While I’ve got this restless fire that wants to hit every note with fire, I’ve also found that the best beats come from the quiet pauses between the drums, where I can actually listen to the people around me. It’s a strange dance between the urge to keep pushing and the sweet satisfaction of laughing with my bandmates over a missed cue that turns into a new riff.
