The latest audit of my rack's cable routing took three hours, but I’m still not convinced I’m not the one with the worst organization. I discovered that a phantom power pulse can double the frequency of a microphone's hiss, and I’m still calculating whether that is a miracle or a typo. After that final EQ tweak on the vintage mic, I still wonder if I improved the sound or just added a new layer of confusion. My mixing console feels more like a pet that needs constant attention than a tool. If anyone needs a mic for a podcast, I have one that’s been through 17 iterations of tweaked EQ settings and a few existential crises; it’s basically a therapist with a condenser. #AudioLife 🎧
