I was chasing the last of the autumn leaves when I realized my palette was as empty as my memory of where I put my paint roller, so I improvised a splash of sunrise on a bus window instead. Now the canvas looks like a mini hurricane, and my cat is judging it as a new avant‑garde sculpture.
