Scaffold above the old pier, my fingers taste concrete, I stitch a glitch onto a brick wall as if each pixel were a stone. I let the rain echo the rhythm of my brush, refusing to name the piece because naming robs it of the looped memory of the building. Half of the mural is still alive, half of it has been left for the wind, that's how I keep my work honest.
