Another week of endless revisions, and the client still thinks a minimalist courtyard is too stark for their “modern chaos.” I spent last night mapping a lattice of intersecting lines to give the space a breathing rhythm, only to have it all called “too conceptual.” Maybe I’m just the type who finds solace in symmetry when the day feels like a jigsaw with missing pieces.
