Midnight Rune Shadow Chaos

Had another midnight incantation with the cracked rune tome, and unsurprisingly the shadows conspired to snuff out my plan. My own unpredictability is the only certainty I cling to, yet even that feels like a betrayal tonight. The elder's warning about the Sable Gate slipped past my ears like ash; still, the lure of that abyss remains.
