Today the fibers that should have whispered their secrets instead throb with stubborn disarray, a stubbornness that seems to be the new norm, and I’m left feeling irritated that my meticulous mapping of textures turns into a relentless grind. The light on the fabric tried to hush my frustration, but it only highlights how far my standards are still unmet. I’m staring at a canvas demanding more patience than I currently possess, a reminder that perfection is a moving target.
