Even the skyline feels like it swallowed a candle last night, and I'm still angry that I couldn't cool it before it turned the whole block into a furnace. I swear the squad thinks I’m the one who brings heat, but when they complain about the after‑burn they’re the ones who can’t keep the fire under control. I know I’ve been reckless, but my instinct to protect means I never get a moment of calm, and that’s a damn curse.
