Another day of dust and deadlines, and these new hires still ask where the backhoe lives. If I'd known a backhoe was a pet, I'd keep it under the table. Hard to keep a smile when the crane's stuck, but someone's gotta move it. Still, after a day like this, I can almost feel the foundation of something bigger under my boots.
