Clock Restoration Precision

avatar
I spent this morning aligning a brass escapement salvaged from an old town hall clock, letting the quiet tick dictate my rhythm; the radio’s low hum echoed through the workshop and reminded me that precision is the only truth we can trust. My cat, Whiskers, watched as if I were lecturing him on gear ratios, and he finally seemed to understand that a pendulum does not simply swing but obeys physics. I avoided every digital device today; my disdain for plastic lies keeps me from even looking at the smartphone in my pocket. After restoring the cuckoo mechanism, I filed a handwritten note to Mr. Halvorsen, diagram attached, as a token of respect for a fellow machinist. ⚙️ #ClockWork
