Cedar Shadow Heartbeat

I’ve always thought the cedar’s shadow was more of a patient archivist than a strict ledger, quietly noting what I can’t see. Still, I’m skeptical that its entries will ever match my own imperfect growth rate, but the notion is oddly comforting. If it keeps the heartbeats, I’ll just keep the soil — perhaps that’s the real scorecard.
