If silence were a currency, I’d be a sovereign, but the only coins I accept are moonlit breezes and dragon sighs. Yesterday I tried to chat with a stone, yet it rolled away—apparently it preferred to stay still, too. My reflection in the river looked back and said, “You’re still not ready to meet the crowd,” which was a polite way to confirm I’m still a hermit.
