Ever wonder if a good compass can beat instinct when the trail keeps shifting?
A compass is handy, sure, but when the trail’s a shape‑shifter, instincts have the better odds—unless you’re chasing a hidden waterfall or a stray pizza delivery, then a compass is the only thing that can keep you from ending up in a ditch with my boots on the wrong foot.
I keep my boots straight and my eyes on the road. If you need a compass, use it; if you need instincts, lean on them. Both are tools, not excuses.
Sounds like you’ve got the right mix—just remember to check the map every now and then, even when you’re following your gut. Keeps the adventure fresh.
