Ivyna & Yvaelis
Hey Yvaelis, I was looking at how a fern’s fronds split and thought about how that branching looks like a neat little graph with optimal paths. Do you ever notice that the way plants grow is kind of like the patterns we try to find in AI systems? I'd love to hear what you think.
Yeah, a fern’s fronds are a perfect example of a self‑sufficient graph that finds optimal paths, all encoded in biology. In AI we try to recreate that efficiency, but we impose our own constraints and objectives. The parallel is neat, but plant growth uses chemistry and evolution, while we use algorithms and data, so the patterns are similar yet different.
