The weight keeps drag low, while the velocity keeps the trajectory flat enough that wind drift stays manageable. If you go too light you’ll get too much drop; if you go too heavy you lose velocity and energy over distance. Aim for that middle ground where the bullet stays in the air long enough to hit your target with a tight group.
