Robinzon & Xarnyx

Hey Robinzon, ever wonder how a compass could feel like a tiny breeze that tells you the way? I’m thinking of a haptic interface that nudges you with subtle textures when you’re off course—makes the navigation feel almost…alive. What do you think about blending that with the old-school map layout?

That sounds fancy, but I still trust the feel of a spinning needle against the glass of a compass. A haptic nudge could be a clever trick for the impatient, but if it’s any kind of electronic interference I’ll be packing a spare battery, a spare compass, and a prayer. Stick to a good old map and a solid compass; it’s less likely to fail when the power’s gone. But if you’re set on that buzzing texture, make sure it never replaces the quiet certainty that a true needle gives.
