Sounds solid. Use a sturdy barrel or old tank, seal the top with clay or a concrete plug. Hide the outlet in a buried pipe so nobody sees it. Build a little wooden fence or stack some rocks around the spot—just enough to make raiders think twice. Keep a spare charcoal bag handy so you can swap it fast. If someone does show up, you can just block the pipe and keep the water safe.
