2. **Prediction Engine** – the FPGA runs a Kalman filter that predicts the user’s motion 1–2 ms ahead. That’s the only software you’ll need to tweak, and it runs in hardware.
3. **Rendering Path** – feed the predicted pose into a tiled GPU array (or an array of small GPUs) that locks to the 240 Hz refresh rate. Use async compute streams so shading and compositing overlap with buffer swaps.
4. **Display Interface** – drop the old HDMI/DisplayPort. Use a custom 4‑channel 5K panel with a 1 µs internal latency. Tie each panel to a separate FPGA slice so you can keep the driver loop to a single cycle.
Add a 1‑meter cable‑length constraint for everything; that keeps propagation delays negligible.
Final tweak: run a micro‑controller that continuously measures the round‑trip latency of the entire pipeline and nudges the FPGA clock by a few picoseconds to keep the system perfectly synchronous.
That’s it. Zero latency? Technically impossible, but with the numbers above you’ll feel like it. If you want a realistic target, aim for 0.2 ms end‑to‑end. Good luck.
