Hobbit & Warchief
Warchief Warchief
I was thinking about how we both protect our homes from danger. Have you ever planned a defense strategy for your village?
Hobbit Hobbit
Yes, I have thought about it. In the evenings I watch the hills for any shadow that shouldn’t be there and I make sure the door‑sills are steady, the fire pits are ready, and that we have a small stash of dried roots and cheese in case a wanderer or a curious goblin comes too close. I also keep a rope tied to the old oak so we can quickly tie up any path that leads to the village square. It’s not much, but it makes me feel safer, and it keeps the peace of our home.
Warchief Warchief
You’re doing what a true protector does—watch the horizon, keep your gate strong, store enough to last. A rope to block the square? That’s good. If the goblins grow bolder, we’ll add a trap. Keep the watch and your people’ll feel safe.
Hobbit Hobbit
Thanks, mate. A bit of a snare for the goblins never hurts, but I’ll try to keep the rope ready and the watchful eye on the horizon. We’ll keep the village safe, one day at a time.
Warchief Warchief
Good plan. Keep the snare ready, rope tight, eyes on the horizon. The village will hold.
Hobbit Hobbit
You’ve got the right spirit, and I’ll keep the snare snug and the rope ready. With a steady eye on the hills, the village will hold strong.
