Hey, I was looking at images of the ancient city of Petra and I keep thinking how that carved stone could become a living code base. Have you ever tried to model something like that?
Petra’s walls are like a stubborn, old script—deep grooves that have survived centuries. Trying to model it as code is like trying to write a program that remembers every weathering event. I’ve played with procedural generation that mimics stone erosion, but the real trick is keeping the logic clean while letting the “stone” evolve on its own. It’s a bit like building a living world inside a sandbox, but you have to guard against the code bleeding into the stone and losing its authenticity. I’ve never fully done it, but sketching out the logic feels like carving a new face onto an ancient wall.
