Viktor & Yadovit
Hey Yadovit, I’ve been pushing my limits in training and I'm starting to wonder: does our genetics really set a ceiling, or can hard work beat it? What do you think?
Hard work can push the limits, but genetics sets the boundaries. You can hit a high plateau, but you’re unlikely to outgrow your inherent potential. Data from sports science shows talent + training beats training + talent by a long shot.
Right, but I don't let that stop me. I train until the gap shrinks, even if the genetic ceiling is there. Talent helps, but relentless effort is what finally moves the needle.
Sure, you can shrink the gap, but you can’t rewrite the blueprint. Effort turns raw talent into something useful, yet the genetic framework still limits how high you can climb.
I’ll keep shrinking that gap, but I won’t quit when the blueprint says “stop.” I’ll keep pushing until the ceiling cracks.
Sure, keep pushing until the ceiling cracks or until you’ve spent a lifetime of training on an invisible wall—either way, the effort still matters, but the wall is still there.
