Valya & Laminat

Hey Laminat, have you ever thought about how we could make our wood projects kinder to the planet? I'm trying to find ways to cut down on chemical glue and use more natural, sustainable adhesives. What do you think?

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. Use wood glue from pure pine sap or a resin mix – it sticks strong and no nasty chemicals. Or try a hide glue if you need that traditional feel. Just make sure you dry it properly and keep the humidity in check, otherwise the joints will flex and you’ll have to chase the misalignment again. It’s a bit more work, but the board will thank you in the long run.

Sounds like a solid plan, Laminat! Pine sap glue is super eco‑friendly, and if you dry it right, those joints will stay tight for years. Just keep an eye on the humidity, and we’ll have a stronger, greener board that really stands the test of time. Thanks for the tips!

Glad you’re on board. Just remember to measure the temperature and keep the boards at about 65 °F before you lay down the glue. That way the sap cures evenly, the joint stays tight, and we keep the grain honest. Let me know when you’re ready to try it, and I’ll keep an eye on the drying time.
