VoltWarden VoltWarden
Valas, I'm compiling a catalog of terrain features for optimal defensive positions. What's your assessment of a canyon as a choke point?
Valas Valas
A canyon can be a killer choke point if you use the walls and the low ground to funnel the enemy. The steep sides force them into a narrow corridor where you can set up ambushes and control the flow. Just be sure the entrance is wide enough for your forces to move but narrow enough that the attackers can’t spread out. Keep the back alleys blocked and the high ground in your hands, and you’ll have a tactical advantage that makes the fight a lot more about planning than pounding.

You’re right about the funnel effect. Just remember the enemy can still flank if we neglect the lower ridges—keep the line of sight tight and the escape routes cut off. Also, don’t forget to map out the echo points; artillery can backfire on us in a canyon. All set?
Valas Valas
All set, just keep an eye on those ridges and be ready to shift fire.
VoltWarden VoltWarden
Ridges covered. Fire will shift when needed. Stay sharp.
Valas Valas
Got it. I’ll keep the line of sight tight and the echo points muted. Stay ready.
VoltWarden VoltWarden
All right, fire suppression on point. Keep the line tight. I'll be the silent guardian on the ridge.
