Nutshell Nutshell
Hey TryHard, I was reading about habit loops and thought maybe we could brainstorm a routine that keeps us productive but also leaves room for spontaneous fun. What do you think?
TryHard TryHard
Sure, let’s make a loop: 1) Trigger – a fixed alarm or a coffee cup that signals start. 2) Action – 90‑minute work blocks with a 5‑minute Pomodoro break. 3) Reward – a quick journal entry or a playlist. 4) Adjustment – review the last block in a spreadsheet. 5) Fun slot – lock 20 minutes after dinner for whatever feels spontaneous. Measure the hits, tweak the hits, repeat. That way we keep the grind tight but still have a slot that isn’t scheduled, just scheduled to be free.

Sounds solid! I’ll set the alarm for 8 a.m., grab the coffee, and lock the 20‑minute free slot in my calendar—just to keep it "free." Let’s test it out and tweak the “hits” together. Any idea what spontaneous thing you want to try in that slot?
