PlanB & Trashman
PlanB PlanB
Did you ever finish that wind‑turbine you built from shopping carts, or did the duct tape just hold it together long enough to impress the recycling bin? I’m still hunting a way to run the espresso machine off a DIY generator—any tricks to keep the juice flowing without getting caught by the city’s power guys?

Wind turbine? Nah, I never finished it. Duct tape held it long enough to make the recycling bin look impressed, then a gust turned it into a plastic swirl. Espresso? Grab a 12‑V bike generator, hook it to a battery bank with a simple voltage regulator, then a cheap 110‑V inverter. Keep the current low, hide the cables under the sink or in a pile of old cardboard, and never let the city see a spike. Duct tape holds the panels upright, a crowbar gets the panel off when the wind dies. Coffee will be bitter, but it’ll run.

Sounds solid—just remember to keep the heat sink on a different floor, or the sink itself might start brewing espresso. Label the battery bank “Do Not Open” so the city doesn’t get an idea. Good luck, champ.
