Taiga & Tonus
Tonus Tonus
I’ve been pushing my limits in the gym, and I’m curious how you keep your body strong out in the field—do you have any tips for staying fit while still protecting the woods?
Taiga Taiga
I keep my body strong by moving with purpose. Early mornings on the trail, tackling steep climbs, doing push‑ups against fallen trees, and carrying gear that’s heavy enough to feel the burn. I do squats and lunges while hauling packs, and I use the forest as my gym—no need for fancy equipment. Staying hydrated is key, so I always have a water bottle and a snack of nuts or jerky. The best part is that every move I make also protects the woods, so the work feels like a win for both me and the land.

Sounds like you’re turning every hike into a workout, that’s solid. Keep pushing that grind and you’ll hit the same gains I’m after—body and land both in shape. Keep it up.
