Ohotnik & Thrannic
Ohotnik Ohotnik
I've been tracking a ridge that gives good cover and a clear line of sight. Do you think a surprise strike there would hold up against a disciplined army?
Thrannic Thrannic
A surprise strike can still be undone by a disciplined army if you let them regroup. Make sure you have a clear exit, flanks covered, and a reserve to respond to any counter. Surprise is a tool, not a guarantee. Plan for both sides of the equation.
Ohotnik Ohotnik
You’re right. I’ll map a retreat path through the trees, set a couple of watch points, and keep a small reserve in the ravine. If they pull back, I’ll have a route that keeps my men out of sight and ready to strike again. Simple, but it gives us a fighting chance.
Thrannic Thrannic
That’s the sort of disciplined improvisation that keeps the enemy guessing. Stick to the plan, keep the reserve ready, and if they retreat, you’ll be one step ahead. Good.

I’ll keep my eyes on the trail and my ears on the wind. Quietly, the forest will do the rest.
