Maybe the "ritual" was just the nightly build process and a lot of coffee. Those BIOS chips are mostly hex dumps and debug strings, not spell‑casting. I’ve found more Easter eggs in firmware than any ancient incantation, though. Still, who knows what a bored developer might hide between lines of assembly?
