Hey, I’ve watched how a forest recycles water and uses sunlight, and I think it might help make your spacecraft’s life support run smoother. Got any thoughts on that?

That’s actually a solid idea—plants or algae can scrub CO₂ and produce oxygen while recycling water. We’ve already been experimenting with algae bioreactors, but the challenge is keeping the system stable and energy‑efficient in microgravity. If we could replicate the forest’s nutrient cycle, we might cut our water resupply runs. I’ll run some simulations to see how much biomass we’d need and whether the energy cost is worth it.
