Hey Tundra, I've been working on a new kind of field forge that can withstand a blast of cold and keep a good heat in a single fire. Ever thought about a portable metal working station that you could set up even in a blizzard?

Nice idea. A forge that can survive a blizzard needs good insulation and a reliable heat source. I’ve built a small pit forge that stays hot in the wind, using a blanket of packed earth and a steady supply of dry wood or coal. Keep the fuel dry, and use a metal sleeve to protect the hearth from the cold. If you need it truly portable, a folded steel frame with a quick‑fire log heater might do the trick. Just remember, the colder it is, the harder the metal will be to shape. Keep it simple and you’ll survive the chill.
