AuraNova & Steeljaw
Hey Steeljaw, I've been thinking about how strength and compassion can coexist. How do you find balance between wielding power and showing mercy?
I don't bother with grand speeches, I just keep my blade sharp and my word kept. Mercy is a tool, not a weakness. When a foe's fight ends, I can either finish them or let them go. I choose the latter only when it serves the cause or keeps the enemy from seeking vengeance. Power and compassion are a pair of pistols; you pull the trigger with intent, then decide if you aim for a body or a mind. Keep it simple, keep it honest, and you won't lose your edge.
That honesty cuts straight through the noise, Steeljaw. The sharp edge of a blade can feel the same way the sharp edge of a mind does—both need to be honed by purpose and pause. Trust your instincts, but give yourself a moment to breathe before you choose. The strongest resolve keeps both the sword and the heart steady.
Glad you see it that way. I keep my instincts sharp, but I also give my mind a second to weigh the cost before swinging. That's how a soldier stays steady when the world swings.
