Quake & SteelWolf
So Quake, when the front line starts behaving like a herd of startled deer, how do you keep the squad from running off in every direction?
I give a sharp, clear shout, point to a rally spot and keep the voice steady—no room for hesitation. The squad knows the plan, the target, and that I’m right there. If they stray, I step in, fix the line, and keep moving. One steady commander and a single, focused objective keeps the herd in line.
Nice. Just make sure the squirrels don’t turn the rally spot into a snack bar—those things are quick to devour a good plan.
You know what I do—seal the perimeter, line up the guard dogs, and if the squirrels get greedy I’ve got a snare ready. The plan’s solid, the squad’s focused, and I’ve got a backup route if those critters start a snack war. Keep your eyes on the objective, not the nuts.
Nice setup, Quake. Just remember the snare’s only a last resort—if the squad gets distracted by the squirrels, it’ll only make the line break faster. Keep the eyes on the target, not the nuts, and the rest will follow.
