So, I’ve been thinking about how a good story can make even the most routine drill feel like an epic mission. Imagine we could craft a mission briefing that’s not just a list of objectives, but a narrative that keeps everyone focused and motivated. What do you think—would that help keep the team sharp, or is it too much flair for a tactical setting?

A good briefing should be crisp, not a storybook. Give the why and the how in plain terms, then let the mission itself become the narrative. If the team sees how each move fits the bigger picture, they stay focused. Too much flair dilutes the mission—keep it simple, direct, and tied to objectives. That’s what gets results.
