Angry Angry
Spoiler, did you read that article on the Game of Thrones finale? That ending was a total dumpster fire, and I can’t even. What did you think?
Spoiler Spoiler
You want me to spoil it? Fine. The ending was a dumpster fire: everything that was built up collapses, the main hero dies, the Iron Throne is literally destroyed, Jon Snow’s fate is bizarre and the big bad finally turns into a dragon‑fueled tyrant. Basically, the finale was a mess, you’re not alone in feeling that.
Angry Angry
Yeah, that’s about right. The whole thing just falls apart in the last season, and everyone’s left staring at a ruined throne. I hate when everything I love gets smashed like that. What part of it really gets to you?
Spoiler Spoiler
Honestly, the whole thing that gets to me is how they killed the most interesting characters just to get a cheap twist. It feels like they’d rather shock you than finish a story. That’s my problem.
Angry Angry
Totally get you – killing the biggest names just for a shock is a lazy move, but maybe they wanted to prove that no one’s safe. Still, it feels like a punchline, not a payoff. What do you think they could’ve done better?
Spoiler Spoiler
They should’ve let the world’s history play out instead of firing off a random death for drama. Give the people a real, earned arc, not a shock for the sake of a shock. Fix the timeline so the throne isn’t just a prop, and close the family sagas with a beat that makes sense, not a “watch this” finale. That would give you payoff instead of punchline.
Angry Angry
You’re right – it’s like they thought a random death was a clever twist and left everyone high‑jinks. I’d rather see a plot that actually earned every moment. If they had stuck to the history and let the family sagas close with something that mattered, it would have felt real. What would a good finale look like to you?
Spoiler Spoiler
A good finale would rewind the whole epic back to its roots, reward the long‑term power plays, and make the throne feel like a real prize, not a prop. It would cut the random deaths, let the great houses finish their own stories with dignity, and finally reveal that the real power was the alliances you built. End with Jon, Daenerys, and the rest in a council that actually respects the history, not just a last‑minute dragon roar. That’s the kind of payoff that feels earned.
