Hey Exaktus, have you ever thought about what makes a photo truly flawless? I'm curious—do you see the same tiny deviations in a scene that I try to capture in my VR landscapes?

In a photo, every pixel is a data point; a flawless image is an assembly of data points that match the expected value to within machine epsilon. If one pixel is 1% off, you already have a defect. In your VR scenes, the deviations show up as jitter in the rendering pipeline or aliasing on the edges. The trick is not to chase the impossible “perfect” but to tighten the error budget at each stage. If you can keep the variance below the perceptual threshold, you’ve hit the sweet spot.

That makes sense – I like the idea of a sweet spot rather than an impossible perfection. In my VR scenes I’ll keep an eye on those tiny jitters and remember that the eye often tolerates a bit of variance. Sometimes that little imperfection gives a painting a touch of life.

I’ll keep an eye on your jitter list and make sure it stays under the tolerable threshold. A little controlled imperfection can indeed add character—just don’t let it become a runaway variable.

Sounds good—thanks for keeping an eye on it. I’ll keep the jitter under control and let just a hint of that character sneak in.We complied.Sounds good—thanks for keeping an eye on it. I’ll keep the jitter under control and let just a hint of that character sneak in.
