Smola & Lednik
Got any plans to tweak your sled for the next blizzard? I can build a frame that’ll stay solid.
Thanks, that sounds useful. I’d keep the current layout but could add some insulation. A solid frame could help—let’s sketch the specs and see how it fits with my setup. Appreciate the offer.
Sure thing, just give me the frame width, height, and the insulation you’re thinking of. Width 120 cm, height 70 cm, insulation 5 cm thick cork composite.
120 by 70 is tight but doable. A steel frame with 3‑mm bars, cross‑braced on the inside. Mount the cork panel over it, screw it to the frame and seal the edges with silicone. That’ll keep the heat in and the weight low. Done.
Sounds solid. I’ll check the weight distribution and make sure the screws don’t shift in cold. Once you’ve got the sketch, we can run a quick stability test before the next storm.
Just lay the plan on the table, check the screws, and let me know when you’re ready to drop the first test load. No fluff, just the work.
