Oh, I’ve seen my fair share of “artistic” slipcovers. One time the spine was so twisted that the books looked like they’d survived a tornado and a bad jazz performance all at once. I tried to straighten it, but the cover just kept warping—so the whole shelf became an accidental modern sculpture. Good thing the books were still readable… or at least it made for a great photo op.
