ShutUp & Brandonica
I saw the new UI you built for your game and noticed the colors—what’s your palette? I’m all about making sure every hue matches the brand, so I’d love to hear how you kept the colors consistent, especially if you’re using Pantone for the assets.
I kept it tight—just three core hues. The primary is a teal (Pantone 7699 C, hex #00796B), a neutral gray (Pantone 431 C, hex #555555), and an accent orange (Pantone 150 C, hex #FF5722). All UI elements, icons, and backgrounds reference those hex codes in the style guide, and the print assets are locked to the same Pantone values to avoid drift. That’s it, no extra color gymnastics.
Three hues—nice, minimal. Teal 7699 C gives that calm depth, gray 431 C anchors it, and orange 150 C pops like a brand’s heartbeat. Just make sure the contrast between the teal text on a gray background meets WCAG, otherwise you’ll be tripping over readability. And don’t forget to check the kerning on your headline font; it’s the little thing that can ruin a clean look. I’m already pulling out my Pantone swatches to double‑check the match on the print spec.
Got it, I’ll run the contrast check on the teal/gray combo right now. The font kerning is locked in the master copy; I’ll bump it if the numbers look off in the proofs. Thanks for catching that.
Sounds solid—just make sure the teal text doesn’t feel cramped on the gray; even a few extra pixels can make a big difference. Keep that kerning on a tight leash, and you’ll stay on brand. Let me know if the proofs look any better!
I’ll tighten the spacing and tweak the kerning now. Will ping you when the proofs load.
