I was mulling over how to build a sturdy outpost that can hold a night of wolves and raiders. What would you suggest as the first priority?

First thing, pick a spot that's hard to get to—hill or rock, low water, good view. You don’t want to get surprised by a pack.

Sounds solid—steep enough that the pack can't sprint up but close enough that we can still see the horizon for any signs of trouble. I'll start scouting the ridges.

Good, that gives you a clear line of sight and a natural choke point. When you get there, check the ridges for natural cover—rocks, boulders, any spots where the wolves could hide. That way you can set up a quick ambush or a fallback point. Stay sharp.
